Sarah is a special education teacher who helps students thrive through individualized support.
Story
Sarah learned the importance of learning differences early — her younger brother was diagnosed with dyslexia, and she watched how one great teacher transformed his experience. Inspired, she studied Special Education and now teaches in Dallas ISD.
Sarah’s classroom is predictable, structured, and supportive. She creates personalized learning plans, combines visual and auditory learning materials, and works closely with families to make learning consistent at home and school.
Her students practice planning, time management, and emotional regulation as much as reading or math — because she believes academic success comes from building the whole learner.
Sarah once worked with a student who struggled to stay seated during lessons. Instead of punishment, she built movement breaks into the child’s routine — boosting both concentration and confidence.
Outside the classroom, she paints watercolors, bakes bread, and volunteers in her church support group for children with learning differences. She is excited to be part of Kina’s mission of education with empathy.
