Rewards Terms

1. Eligibility and Participation

The Kina Rewards Program is available to eligible Kina members. To earn Kina Points from Eligible Spend, you must maintain an active Kina account and link one or more eligible credit card accounts to Kina through a supported financial account connection service, currently Plaid.

You are responsible for ensuring that linked accounts belong to you or that you are otherwise authorized to link and use them with Kina. Kina may establish additional eligibility, verification, account, geographic, or membership requirements from time to time.

Participation in the Kina Rewards Program is personal to you and may not be transferred, sold, combined with another member's account, or used for commercial resale or other unauthorized purposes unless Kina expressly permits it.

2. Kina Points

“Kina Points” are rewards units issued through the Kina Rewards Program. Kina Points are promotional loyalty rewards and are not cash, deposits, stored value, or property, and they do not constitute a bank account, payment account, or other financial account.

Kina Points have no fixed cash value. The value of Kina Points may vary depending on the redemption option, benefit, partner, promotion, membership tier, or other applicable terms.

Kina Points may be earned through Eligible Spend and through other qualifying activities that Kina may offer, including referrals, recommendations, promotions, partner activities, or other qualifying actions. The applicable earning rules will be disclosed through the Rewards Schedule or the terms of the applicable offer or promotion.

3. Eligible Spend and Linked Credit Cards

“Eligible Spend” means qualifying purchases made using an eligible credit card linked to Kina that Kina determines qualify for Kina Points under the applicable Rewards Schedule.

Kina determines whether a purchase constitutes Eligible Spend using Kina's proprietary merchant classification methodology and other information available to Kina. This methodology may consider merchant identity, transaction information, merchant category codes (“MCCs”), merchant data, transaction descriptions, location, product or service type, and other relevant information. An MCC alone does not determine whether a transaction is Eligible Spend.

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable Rewards Schedule, “2x” means two (2) Kina Points for each one U.S. dollar ($1.00) of Eligible Spend. Fractional or partial-dollar transactions may be rounded or otherwise calculated in accordance with Kina's then-current program practices.

A member may link multiple eligible credit cards. Eligible Spend across all linked cards is aggregated at the member-account level for purposes of applicable earning limits.

Only transactions that Kina receives through the applicable linked-account provider and can reasonably identify and verify are eligible. Kina is not responsible for missing, delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable transaction information supplied by a financial institution, Plaid, or another third party, but we may review claimed discrepancies in our discretion.

4. Membership Tiers and Rewards Schedule

Kina may offer different membership tiers, plans, or programs, including free and paid membership options. Membership tiers may have different earning rates, annual earning limits, credits, benefits, redemption opportunities, partner benefits, fees, or other features.

The then-current earning rates, Eligible Spend limits, membership benefits, and other tier-specific terms will be described in an applicable Rewards Schedule, membership offer, or other disclosure made available by Kina. The Rewards Schedule is incorporated into these Rewards Terms by reference.

Kina may introduce, modify, rename, or discontinue membership tiers, earning rates, earning limits, categories, benefits, credits, redemption options, or other program features from time to time, subject to applicable law and any notice required under these Rewards Terms or applicable law.

5. Calendar Year and Annual Earning Limits

For purposes of annual Kina Rewards Program earning limits, a “Calendar Year” means the period beginning January 1 and ending December 31.

Annual Eligible Spend point limits apply at the member-account level across all linked credit cards. Once you reach the applicable Eligible Spend point limit for your membership tier during a Calendar Year, you will not earn additional Kina Points from Eligible Spend until the next Calendar Year, unless Kina expressly provides otherwise.

Unless the applicable offer or promotion states otherwise, Kina Points earned through referrals, recommendations, promotions, bonuses, partner activities, or other non-Eligible-Spend activities do not count toward your annual Eligible Spend point limit.

Upgrading or downgrading your membership does not restart or otherwise change the applicable Calendar Year.

6. Membership Upgrades and Downgrades

If you upgrade to a membership tier with a higher Eligible Spend point limit, the higher limit will apply from the effective date of your upgrade for the remainder of the applicable Calendar Year. Kina Points previously earned from Eligible Spend during that Calendar Year will count toward the higher annual limit.

Unless otherwise stated, an upgrade does not cause purchases completed before the effective date of the upgrade to be recalculated under the earning rules of the upgraded membership tier.

If you downgrade to a membership tier with a lower Eligible Spend point limit, you will retain Kina Points already validly earned. Future Eligible Spend earning will become subject to the lower tier's applicable rules and annual limit. If you have already earned Kina Points from Eligible Spend equal to or greater than the lower tier's annual limit during that Calendar Year, you will not earn additional Kina Points from Eligible Spend until the next Calendar Year.

A change in membership tier does not by itself cause validly earned Kina Points to be forfeited.

7. Posting, Pending Transactions, Returns and Adjustments

Kina Points may not post immediately after a purchase or qualifying activity. Transactions may remain pending until Kina receives sufficient information to determine eligibility.

If an Eligible Spend transaction is returned, refunded, reversed, canceled, charged back, disputed, determined to be ineligible, or otherwise adjusted, Kina may reverse or adjust the Kina Points associated with that transaction.

If points associated with a reversed or adjusted transaction have already been redeemed, Kina may deduct the corresponding amount from your remaining Kina Points balance, create a negative points balance, offset future Kina Points earned, reverse an available reward where feasible, or take other reasonable corrective action.

Kina may also correct errors in points balances, earning calculations, redemption activity, or account records.

8. Referrals, Recommendations, Promotions and Bonus Points

Kina may offer opportunities to earn Kina Points through referrals, recommendations, reviews, promotions, campaigns, partner activities, or other qualifying actions.

Each such opportunity may be subject to separate eligibility requirements, limits, verification requirements, expiration dates, exclusions, or other terms. Unless expressly stated otherwise, bonus or promotional Kina Points are governed by these Rewards Terms in addition to the terms of the applicable offer.

Kina may withhold, reverse, or deny promotional or referral points if Kina reasonably determines that the qualifying requirements were not satisfied or that activity was fraudulent, abusive, manipulated, duplicated, self-referred where prohibited, or otherwise inconsistent with the applicable offer.

9. Redeeming Kina Points

Kina may make various redemption options available from time to time. Available rewards, redemption requirements, point values, minimum redemption amounts, availability, and other conditions may vary by membership tier, partner, reward, promotion, or other factors.

Kina Points do not have a fixed redemption value, and the number of points required for a particular reward may change. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Kina Points cannot be redeemed for cash and have no cash surrender value.

A redemption may be final once processed. Third-party rewards may also be subject to the applicable partner's terms, restrictions, availability, cancellation policies, and expiration rules.

Kina may add, modify, substitute, suspend, or discontinue redemption options, subject to applicable law.

10. Expiration of Kina Points

Kina Points do not expire while your Kina account remains active and in good standing, unless otherwise required or permitted by applicable law or expressly stated in connection with a particular promotional award.

If your account is closed, terminated, suspended, or no longer in good standing, your ability to earn or redeem Kina Points may be limited or terminated as described in these Rewards Terms, the Kina Terms of Use, or any applicable membership terms.

11. Expert Credits

Certain Kina membership tiers, promotions, or offers may include credits that may be used toward eligible Expert Sessions (“Expert Credits”). Expert Credits are separate from Kina Points, have no cash value, and may only be used for eligible Expert Sessions in accordance with the applicable membership, offer, or booking terms.

Different Expert Sessions may require different numbers of Expert Credits. For example, an eligible Expert Session may require one (1), two (2), or another specified number of Expert Credits. We will disclose the number of Expert Credits required before booking.

The number of Expert Credits included with a membership tier, the period in which they may be used, and their expiration date will be described in the applicable Rewards Schedule, membership offer, or other disclosure.

Unless otherwise specified, Expert Credits provided as an annual membership benefit are issued for the applicable Calendar Year and expire at the end of that Calendar Year. Unused Expert Credits do not roll over into a subsequent Calendar Year unless Kina expressly provides otherwise.

Expert Credits may not be transferred, sold, exchanged for cash, or combined between member accounts unless Kina expressly permits otherwise.

12. Partner-Funded and Kina-Funded Rewards

Rewards, points, credits, benefits, or offers may be funded or provided by Kina, a participating merchant, partner, or other third party.

Partner-funded rewards or benefits may be subject to additional partner terms, eligibility requirements, exclusions, availability, or restrictions. Kina is not responsible for a third party's independent products or services, except as required by applicable law.

13. Fraud, Abuse and Program Integrity

Kina may review account and transaction activity to protect the integrity of the Kina Rewards Program. You may not manipulate transactions, create artificial spend, make purchases primarily to generate rewards and then return or reverse them, create duplicate or fraudulent accounts, misuse referral programs, misrepresent qualifying activity, or otherwise attempt to obtain rewards improperly.

If Kina reasonably determines that rewards were earned or obtained through fraud, abuse, mistake, manipulation, violation of these Rewards Terms, or other improper activity, Kina may withhold or reverse points or credits, cancel redemptions, suspend rewards earning or redemption, restrict or terminate participation in the Kina Rewards Program, or take other appropriate action.

14. Account Closure, Suspension and Good Standing

An account is considered in good standing when it is active and not suspended, restricted, or terminated for violation of applicable Kina terms, fraud, abuse, or other grounds permitted by applicable law.

If you voluntarily close your Kina account, or if Kina terminates your account or Rewards Program participation, you may lose the ability to earn or redeem Kina Points and Expert Credits. Kina may provide a period to redeem remaining points following account closure, as stated in the applicable terms or required by law.

Kina may preserve, cancel, or restrict rewards in connection with account closure, suspension, or termination as permitted by applicable law and the applicable terms.

15. Changes to the Kina Rewards Program

Kina may change these Rewards Terms, the Rewards Schedule, membership tiers, earning rates, Eligible Spend criteria, annual limits, redemption values, available rewards, Expert Credits, benefits, participating partners, or other aspects of the Kina Rewards Program from time to time.

Where required by applicable law, or where a change materially and adversely affects members, Kina will provide notice before the change becomes effective. Changes may apply prospectively to future earnings, redemptions, Calendar Years, benefits, or other program activity as described in the applicable notice.

Kina will not retroactively remove Kina Points that were validly earned solely because Kina later changes an earning rate or annual limit, except where adjustment is permitted under these Rewards Terms, such as for returns, reversals, errors, fraud, abuse, or ineligible transactions.

16. Taxes

You are responsible for any tax consequences arising from your receipt or use of Kina Points, Expert Credits, rewards, referral bonuses, or other benefits. Kina may report rewards or benefits to tax authorities or request information from you where required by applicable law.

17. No Transfer or Monetary Ownership

Except where Kina expressly permits otherwise, Kina Points and Expert Credits may not be transferred, assigned, sold, traded, pledged, inherited, or combined between accounts. They may be used only through the Kina Rewards Program in accordance with applicable terms.

Kina Points and Expert Credits are not your property and do not create a debtor-creditor relationship between you and Kina.

18. Relationship to Other Kina Terms

These Rewards Terms supplement the Kina Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and any applicable membership terms.

If there is a conflict between these Rewards Terms and the Kina Terms of Use regarding the Kina Rewards Program, these Rewards Terms will control with respect to the Kina Rewards Program. If a Rewards Schedule, membership offer, promotion, or benefit contains terms specifically applicable to that offer, those specific terms will control for that offer to the extent of the conflict.

Current Program Terms

This Rewards Schedule describes the current earning structure for the Kina membership tiers listed below. It forms part of the Kina Rewards Terms & Conditions. Kina may update this Rewards Schedule in accordance with the Rewards Terms and applicable law.

Eligible Spend Classification

Eligible Spend is determined by Kina using its proprietary merchant classification methodology. Classification may consider merchant identity, transaction information, MCCs, merchant data, transaction descriptions, location, product or service type, and other relevant information. A merchant's MCC alone does not determine eligibility.

Kina Credits — Current Standard Expiration

Unless otherwise disclosed when issued: (a) promotional or complimentary Kina Credits expire 90 days after issuance; and (b) Kina Credits included as part of a membership benefit expire one year after issuance. The specific terms are presented with a Credit control.

Important Flexibility

Kina may change membership pricing, earning rates, annual caps, benefits, credits, eligible categories, redemption opportunities, and other program features in accordance with the Kina Rewards Terms & Conditions and applicable law. The then-current Rewards Schedule or membership offer will describe the benefits applicable to a member.
