Who is eligible for Tuition Flex?
To use Tuition Flex, you’ll need to meet a few simple requirements:
Be enrolled in a daycare or school partnered with Kina.
Have no outstanding balance due with your school.
Be paying your invoice in full (no partial payments)
Be personally responsible for paying your tuition directly to your school, not through a third-party payer (such as a subsidy or agency).
Each member can have only one active Tuition Flex plan at a time.
Do I need to use Tuition Flex every month?
No. Tuition Flex is completely optional. You can choose to use it in any month where you’d like extra flexibility, or simply pay your tuition in full with your school as usual.
There’s no requirement to use Tuition Flex — you stay in control of how you pay.
When is the deadline to set up my Tuition Flex plan?
You must complete your Tuition Flex plan by 10:00 AM PT, one business day before your invoice due date, to apply it toward that month’s tuition.
For example, if your September invoice is due on September 5th, you’ll need to set up your Tuition Flex plan by 10:00 AM PT on September 4th (assuming both are business days).
Does Tuition Flex have a cost?
A standard 1% processing fee applies to all payments.
Will I earn points if I don't use Tuition Flex?
Yes! As long as your school is an official Kina partner and your account is linked, you’ll earn points on your tuition each month.
Please note, it may take up to 30 days for the reward points to appear in your Kina account.
What if I have multiple invoices?
If you have multiple invoices across our partner schools, you’ll need to choose one invoice at a time to use Tuition Flex on.
When is Tuition Flex available at my school?
Currently, the Kina program is only offered through an exclusive list of partner schools and daycares. Each school has its own timeline for rolling out the program, so availability may vary.
To check when Kina will be available at your school, contact your school administrator or email our customer support team at hello@kina.co.
